I just made the most perfect green smoothie combination today! I was getting burnt out on bananas and berries.
Here's what I added:
- 2 navel oranges peeled
(Found that tangelos are particularly yummy and SO juicy!) - 1 cup frozen pineapple
1/4 cup organic unsweetened coconut
Better yet...A splash of coconut milk! YUMMY and not gritty like the dried coconut flakes!
- a bit of organic agave nectar
- approx. 1/2 cup filtered water
- 6-8 ice cubes
Add to mixture:
- approx. 4 cups organic baby spinach
I gave My Girl a bit today, and she asked for MORE! So yummy!

Good idea! It's easy to get burned out on berries and bananas in smoothies. I've started making smoothies with melon (cantaloupe or honeydew) and pineapple. It's so refreshing!
Yum Yum Yum Khrista !!! I don't know why but I didn't get notification of this in my email !! I just came to look for a recipe that I'm doing for dinner and here was your post !! I love it. It's just about to green smoothie season for me. I find them hard to drink in the winter ... too cold !! but spring in nearing ...
