Menu Plan Monday - Bonnie - 22 March 2010

I liked having a two week menu planned. So much so that I'm going to do it again.

I like it for two reasons.

One ... I only had to shop once in two weeks ... with a few small trips in for milk, etc ... I can handle that !

Two ... I only spent just over one week's budget on two week's food ! I can TOTALLY handle that !!!

Nice Bonnie.
Have you found substitutes for things like soy sauce? Or do you just make little excursions from everything unprocessed every once in awhile??

Mum keeps asking me what kind of food she should make when you all come over! haha.

I think I'm going to use a few of these recipes for my menu this week!

Andrea ... surprisingly, soy sauce does not contain preservatives.

Talia ... ha ha !! We'll eat anything she makes ... did you tell her that ?? :)

That Ajiaco soup is tantalizing. I want to try it. I just realized that it reminds me of a favorite meal from a Peruvian restaurant we used to go to--ceviche. Not that the ingredients are the same. It's something about the presentation and the look of the broth. Anyway, it looks delicious.
